SUMMARY:TOCNM Road Rally to Chaco Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Tesla Owners Club of New Mexico is proudly sponsoring a Tesla Road Rally to Chaco Canyon\, New Mexico. We will start early at 8:00 AM at the Journal Center Tesla Supercharger in Albuquerque. We will drive out I40 West to Milan NM outside of Grants NM where we will charge up at the new SuperCharger there and have a breakfast/brunch at the Brunch Kiva Cafe. We will then drive north to Chaco Culture National Historic Park taking about two and a half hours to get there by 1:00 PM where we will tour the ruins of Tetro Ketl\, Kin Klesto and finally Pueblo Bonito.   \n\n\n\nThe roads are paved except for 23 miles of gravel road -perhaps with some  washboards. There are no services except for the Visitors Center that has restrooms. Bring water\, snacks\, sun protection\, additional clothing in case it is cold or hot\, sturdy walking shoes. \n\n\n\nNOTE:  The RSVP button is working. \n\n\n\nSome Details: It is 86 miles from Albuquerque to Milan on I40. After charging and eats\, we will proceed North on Highway 605 14 miles to Highway 509 and then north past the Peabody coal mines on to White Horse. Then west to Seven Lakes\, then north on a dirt road 23 miles to Chaco. An alternate route for a different view would be to take I 40 26 miles to Thoreau where we will take Paved road 371 north for 28 miles to the junction of E Rte 9. From there on a paved road we will travel 14 miles East to Seven Lakes then north on an dirt road 23 miles to Pueblo Bonito. Only 9 miles more. \n\n\n\nWe can discuss at brunch in Milan.
